The United Nations Refugee Agency, is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people. Reflect Studio partners with UNHCR each year on June 20, the World Refugee Day, to create memorable merchandise to raise awareness of the situation of refugees throughout the world.
We organize collaborative design practices in the making of our products. Two-day art therapy sessions are organized with traumatized refugee children residing in Istanbul. Art therapy encourages children to reflect on their pasts and feel comfortable with their current presents and habitats. The outcomes from the sessions are re-interpreted by our team of designers and applied on garments and objects.
